YMCA QYP Youth Members are encouraged to get involved with numerous community organisations via Community Action Plans which are implemented in regional areas each with their own mentors. Below are a few of the organisations our Youth Members are working with this year. To submit your own ideas, go to the Contact Us page and just send an email with "CAP" or Ideas for "Community Involvement" in the subject line.

Office for Youth, Department of Communities: This is the department’s new information hub for youth initiatives. It provides easy access to information and resources supporting young people aged 12 to 25 years. Topics include safety tips for Schoolies, leadership programs on offer, youth justice services and funding available.

Family Planning Queensland (FPQ): Family Planning Queensland has provided sexual and reproductive health services to the wider population of Queensland since its first clinic session in 1972. FPQ offers clinical, education and training services from metropolitan and regional locations throughout the state.
International Day of Peace Association (IDPA): In support of United Nations resolution 55/282 an alliance was formed in Brisbane, Australia on the 2005 Peace Day.
The International Day of Peace Alliance has as its sole charter, to raise awareness of the day and encourage participation across all cultures, religions and peoples. Comprised of about 15 volunteers from different backgrounds and organisations, we are a catalyst organisation, raising awareness of the day through maximising our networks.
